Alhamdulillah, congratulation to Siti Yasmin Farhana binti Haji Mohammad Sofian, grand daughter of Sharifah Hajah Sino binti Sheikh Haji Umar bin Sheikh Haji Abdullah Banamah on being awarded a BSc Hon degree in Biology by University Brunei

Darussalam. The Convocation was held on Saturday, 8 September 2014 and graced by non other than His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam himself.

It is with great pleasure to congratulate Siti Farah Diyana binti Haji Mohammad Anas, grand daughter of Sharifah Hajah Sino binti Sheikh Haji Umar bin Sheikh Haji Abdullah Banamah on successfully obtaining a 1st Class Degree in Economic from University Brunei Darussalam. Siti Farah Diyana also won herself the UBD Book Prize for Economic (2014) which is additional to the UBD Book Prize awarded to her for excellent works in 2012. As part of her Discovery Year Programme, Siti Farah Diyana spent a year at Hull University, United Kingdom. 

Congratulations to Zain Esham

Congratulations to Zaim Haji Mohammad Esham on obtaining Brunei Government Scholarship to study Medicine at Southampton University, United Kingdom. Zaim is great grand son of Sharifah Hajah Edah binti Sheikh Haji Umar bin Sheikh Haji Abdullah Banamah. Zaim left for United Kingdom on Friday, 7th September 2014. Seen in the photo below with his grandfather Dato Paduka Haji Yunos and grand mother, Datin Hajah Haniah binti Zulkifli. Also in the photo Zaim's youngets brother Mohammad Yussof.

Bereavement - Brother Ali of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Innalillahi Wainnalilahi Raziun. It is with great sadness to inform that one of our dear relatives from Jeddah, Brother Ali has recently passed away suddenly.   Our sympathy goes to his parents and members of his family. And to his wife of merely two months having been just married before his sudden demise.

Those of us who attended the Banamah Gathering in Singapore in December last year, would remember him as a very handsome, friendly and cheerful individual.  We pray to Allah Subhanu Wataala that his soul be blessed with His love and forgiveness, and may he be placed among other souls in Jannah, Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin. Al-Fateah.
