Tali Persaudaraan Banamah

Alhamdulillah, bersyukur kehadarat Allah jua. Salaam Anas, My name is Ahmad Banamah and I am from Saudi Arabia. Two years ago, I was surfing the Net in Arabic looking for some information about my family's branches and origins. Unfortunately, I did not find anything interesting reliable. So I decided to search in English so I came across your interesting blog about Banamah's family. I cannot describe the great surprise I had at that moment. I was aware, as everyone, how the Muslim Hadrami traders spread Islam over the rim of the Indian ocean and how some of them settled in and started families in these areas. But I had never imagined the we (Banamahs) have cousins who share us the same origins. I was very excited and enthusiastic about getting in contact with our you, so I asked one of my relatives to send you an email. You probably remember him. His name is Majid Badahdah and he sent you an email about two years ago telling you about Banamah family in Saudi Arabia and Yemen but he did not follow up. A couple of months ago, I told my uncle (who is one of the well respected people in the family) about your family and how we have the same origins. He became extremely interested and asked me to contact you. Unfortunately, I was quite busy at that time applying for university so I did not bother to contact you. Now, there is an opportunity to get in contact again. One of my maternal cousins (whose mother belongs to Banamah family) is going to be in Singapore from the 9th until the 15th of July. I told him about your blog and sent him your blog link. He was interested and told me hat he would be glad to meet you up or any other members of Banamah family. My cousin's name is Abduallah Bawazeer. I have copied him in on this email. The aim of the meeting is just to get know each other. This can be developed into a strong relationship between the two branches of the family. If I had not been busy doing my university course I would have travelled to Singapore and meet you myself. Inshallah, I will do this once I have finished my university course. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely, Ahmad
